I remember getting a CD from Carina Round a few years ago. I receive CD's all the time and there was a time when I tried to listen to all of them, but some would still fall through the cracks. However, Carina Round was one that I listened to repeatedly, though I knew that she didn't tour frequently. After opening for Puscifer, the singer-songwriter has become associated with the avante garde and the weird. However, when it comes down to it, she is really just a talented singer-songwriter who can stretch her talent to appeal beyond your typical coffee-shop crowd. Tuesday night, Carina performs at the Casbah, and while it will certainly be a quiet show (with each incoming airplane adding to the dynamics) it is certainly one worth seeing. Local Kelsea Rae Little opens the show and is sure to warm up the crowd with her youthful enthusiasm and charisma.
