Sounds Like San Diego: March 8

St. Lucia return to San Diego to play Observatory Tuesday

I always take it as a compliment to our city and venues when a band returns on tour so soon after they've seemingly just been here. In this case, St. Lucia was at the Observatory last April, then returned in October for the fall CRSSD Fest, and now they're back at the Observatory for another show, this time with Grace Mitchell as support. Twice a year works pretty great to build your fan base, and obviously they're smart to play a city with two awesome, competing alt-rock radio stations who both support the band. Still, if you're just looking for a smaller scale show Tuesday, Omega Three is at Casbah, while Soda Bar has rapper/producer Le1f, and Fink Bombs play a free Tiki Tuesday at Pink.

Tuesday, March 8:

  • St. Lucia, Grace Mitchell @ Observatory North Park
  • Omega Three, Deep Sea Thunderbeast, Setback City @ Casbah
  • John Hiatt, Rick Brantley @ Belly Up
  • Black Pussy, Desert Suns, Red Wizard @ The Merrow
