Sounds Like San Diego: March 31

Shlomo puts on the show at Casbah on Tuesday

The Coachella chatter is already starting. Everytime I ask a friend how they're doing, they respond with something along the lines of being super busy to prepare for Coachella. We'll certainly be talking a lot about Coachella artists because so many are coming through town, but Tuesday night, you can catch one of last year's hot acts, Shlohmo, who appears at the Casbah. The L.A. beatmaker/producer has been doing what he does for more than six years, and you can be sure he'll weave a sonic landscape that will be talked about as one of the coolest small shows this year. Around town, Have Mercy and Weatherbox play at the Irenic, and young and talented Leave the Universe -- who are a local version of Paramore or Evanescence -- perform at the Merrow.
