There's a lot of music around town on Thursday night, although I have to admit the list is for the more adventuresome, as most of the headliners don't have immediate name recognition, even if you pay close attention. I mean, besides Reverend Horton Heat, whose three-night stand at the Casbah comes to an end with another sold-out performance. At Soda Bar, the Kin are a gritty band based in NYC with a big sound that should strike a chord for fans of Brit-rock's slow building anthems, while just down the street, the Cutaways ply their retro-rock sound at Sycamore Den. Bella Novela return to San Diego with a powerful chick-rock vibe at Bar Pink, and Boston's funk heroes Lettuce perform at the Belly Up. Something for everyone? You never know unless you go out and explore for yourself.
