Sounds Like San Diego: March 25

Blondfire return to San Diego, this time opening for the Sounds at House of Blues.

Around SoundDiego headquarters, we've been talking a lot about opening bands. Like, have you ever been to a show to see a headliner and were actually blown away by the opener instead? Well, on Tuesday there are some great headliners in town whose openers just might blow you away. For example, we've fallen in love with Blondfire during their past couple shows in San Diego, and you can catch the energetic band as they open for the Sounds at the House of Blues. Then there's Joshua James. Deep sigh. It's no secret that he is one of my favorite performers, and if you've not been exposed to his incredible songwriting, you can catch him as he opens for the equally awesome Delta Rae at the Belly Up. I hear he takes the stage at 8 p.m., so do yourself a favor and don't miss his opening set. Maybe you'll be made a forever fan as I was the first time I caught him back in 2008.
