I don't know about you, but I had an exhausting week, so I'm glad that the weekend is finally here, if for nothing else than to sleep in. But not before enjoying all of the awesome Friday night action. Fu Manchu is already sold out at the Casbah, but Potty Mouth and Partybaby should be a blast at the Che Cafe -- as will the sing-along night that comes every time Super Diamond play the Belly Up. Brooklyn indie-rockers Slothrust plan to slay the Hideout and the Merrow hosts Japan Nite. The pick of the night, however, is conscious rapper Common, who returns to the Observatory, and you can be sure that it is going to be a politically charged and hopefully inspiring night of music.
