If you have it in you to make Thursday night a double header, I'd encourage you to do so. Kick off the night at the Museum of Contemporary Art downtown, where Little Hurricane makes a stop at home. The duo's recent tour has taken them all over the country with some major shows at South by Southwest, including an opening slot for the Shins. The Howls are opening the show and one can only hope this is the resurrection of the TNT (Thursday Night Thing) series. After the show, I'd recommend heading to the Casbah, where three of the four bands performing also had some notable performances in Austin. Or if you're looking for a solid touring act, Minneapolis' Howler (not to be confused with Lord Howler) performs at the Soda Bar with their jangly indie-pop goodness.
