Tuesday promises to be a super night in San Diego as Matt Costa returns to the Casbah on the heels of his fourth release on Brushfire Records. The self-titled album was recorded in Glasgow and might just have enough sonical curveballs to differentiate it from his labelmates and other singer/songwriters. Up at the Belly Up, the female power takes over as the Joy Formidable headline with a dynamic show, but only after Cece tears it up on the drums for Little Hurricane. Finally, if you're bummed you missed out on South by Southwest, one of the memorable veteran bands performing was the Specials and now you can see them here at the House of Blues without having to RSVP or wonder if you'll get in or not. That alone is worth the price of this ticket. Yup, looks to be a great Tueaday indeed.
