Sounds Like San Diego: March 18

Wax Idols take on the Hideout, while San Diego gets a hefty dose of live music on Friday

Yesterday may have been St. Patrick's Day, but tonight has real reason to celebrate because it's finally Friday! For many, spring break starts today but if you've been out around San Diego, you know the tourists are already here. Fret not, there are plenty of live-music shows to share with everyone. Junior Boys is sold out at the Casbah, but you can head up to the Che Cafe to catch the Smith Street Band, or hang out at the Hideout for Oakland's goth-pop Wax Idols. Our buddies Schizophonics make a visit to Til-Two, and singer/songwriter Ben Rector is at the Observatory. For something a little different, drop in at Soda Bar for the traveling tour of Fleetmac Wood -- a dance party-slash-tribute to the legendary greats.
