Everyone is Irish tonight as St. Patrick's Day falls on the best night of the week. Around town, there will be parties all over, but I am recommending that you find a cozy spot, belly up to the bar and order yourself a Guinness or two, making sure you have a safe ride home.
ShamROCK is going on downtown, but if you feel like something more quaint, I'd recommend catching the Dime Novels over at the Marble Room, Manchest & Her, who regularly play at the Ould Sod on Fridays, will be entertaining the crowd at West Coast Tavern, and San Diego's favorite hometown Irish punk band, The Down's Family, will take over Eleven. Just don't order an "Irish Car Bomb." It's racist and just not very cool.
