This is a big weekend in San Diego. It's the final chance for hometown bands to play -- and hopefully make some scratch -- before several head off to Texas for South By Southwest. On top of that, this is the first time the Heavy Guilt is headlining the Casbah, which is kind of a big deal in the natural progression of a band's journey. They'll be playing with the Beautiful View, who are not only going to Texas but just posted tour dates for their first national tour. Around town, Soda Bar is presenting a show at the Irenic in North Park, one of the best sounding rooms in San Diego, Josh Damigo plays his monthly show at Lestat's, and Maus Haus return to the Tin Can.
