There are so many great shows this Friday that it's hard to know even where to begin, but let's take it from the top. The Belly Up welcomes Ryan Bingham and Honeyhoney. Ryan is one of the great musicians whose rootsy rock can have country or alt-country leanings, with his whiskey-soaked vocals transporting you to another time and place. Honeyhoney is worth checking out, too, as they bounce between their boy and girl vocals. Meanwhile, punk rockers Redd Kross perform at the Casbah. As far as I can tell, this is their first time at the venue, though they've been a band since 1980 so they should be delving into their extensive catalog. For a change of pace, 91X brings their "Next Big Thing" series downtown with Capital Cities performing at Block No. 16. Down the line there are great options for all genres so you really can't go wrong this Friday night.
