Cold War Kids headline today's FM 94/9 Indie Jam at the Oceanside Pier.
If you're up early in the morning, the Rock n Roll Marathon will be cruising through the city, with various bands playing along the route for runners and spectators alike, but after you pull off your running shoes, it's time to head north to Oceanside for what I think is the best Indie Jam yet. The lineup is deep all the way through. Unfortunately, the show is already sold out, so if you're hoping to catch music, you can catch day two of Fiesta Del Sol. Tonight, head over to Soda Bar to catch some indie goodness with Damon and Naomi and Amor de Dias, or swing down to the Casbah to catch some veteran musicians in Joey Cape and Cory Branan, who can pull the heartstrings of any girl with their songwriting, while still being tough enough to garner a whiskey swilling male audience.
