It doesn't seem like it was already nearly two years ago that a little band called Day Wave played Soda Bar. Though I should back up and explain that Jackson Phillips is the only member of the band, everyone else is just an accompanist, so I don't know if we say he is in Day Wave or he is Day Wave, but regardless, Day Wave finally has a full-length debut record, "The Days We Had," after his/their/its wildly successful 2015 EP, "Headcase." Check 'em out at the Casbah if it hasn't sold out yet. Meanwhile, Atlanta hip-hop is at Mattress Train with Future, and Bell Biv Devoe play their second night at Sycuan. I'd say if you're in for some over-the-top fun, check out Quintron and Ms Pussycat at Soda Bar, which is beyond words to decribe but a fun time everytime.
