My weekend started so early that Friday comes around and I'm just looking at it like any other night of the week. Then I look a little bit closer and realize that it's the first time, at least in my memory, that Tropical Popsicle has headlined the Soda Bar. As much as I'm a cheerleader for local music, sometimes the scene is so disjointed. Some succeed locally while others book national tours and hardly get what they deserve back in their home city. When it comes to TropPop, I feel at fault. If you haven't seen them, this is your chance, and lucky for us, no matter what eyes befall them across the blogosphere, I'm pretty sure they will always call this home. So welcome them and do it right on a Friday night.
