The weekend is here, and there are some cool shows around town Friday, but I dare say that none will be more fun than Southern Culture on the Skids. The band formed in 1985, and the expanse of records at their merch table is pretty astonishing. They've played the Casbah annually for more than a decade, though the past two years, the performed at Tiki Oasis. They're back now, though, and you can be sure that the friend chicken will be flying (for real!) and the music will be rocking. Get there early for Secret Samarai and plan on having a country-fried good time!
