Sounds Like San Diego: June 2

Oh, man. I have been waiting for this night for a long time. It was five years ago when Yeasayer last played in San Diego, and I have to be honest, it was kind of a miserable experience. My friend and I had photo passes, so we got to the show super early to get up front for the best shots, but the show was sold out, so as the room filled, we were getting more and more crushed. By the time Yeasayer came out, we were getting fully elbowed and pushed by some intoxicated girls who kept saying they weren't even sure they liked the band. Dread. Somewhere along the way, a dude steps in and starts punching my friend. Luckily, the bouncers saw that we were not the problem, they were all removed from the venue, and we were left to enjoy the show. But it just isn't the same after something like that happens. So this time, I'm so excited to see the band, hear their new music and hopefully avoid any elbows to the head. All things considered, they put on an amazing show, so I'm still convinced this is gonna be a show not to be missed.
