It's a relatively quiet Monday, but that doesn't mean you can't discover something pleasing to the ears on what is traditionally "Industry Night." In fact, who would expect to see Greg Ginn & the Royal We at Eleven? The tiny (and, frankly, underrated) bar on El Cajon Boulevard will host the former Black Flag frontman's latest project, providing a rare chance to see the punk-rock legend up close and personal. Just down the street at the Soda Bar, locals Beta Lion bring some great indie-pop along with Sahab, Duchess and Sick Balloons. At the Casbah, Anti-Monday League welcomes female hip-hop duo THEEsatisfaction. The duo is signed to Sub Pop and brings an uplifting message and powerful wisdom to a genre that could use a few more strong women to mix things up. Good stuff for a Monday, don't ya think?
