We've hit the midweek point and there are some fun shows to keep your days moving right along. If you love local music, one of our favorite San Diego groups the Verigolds headline the Belly Up; and if you love your metal, Valient Thorr is at Soda Bar. Other big shows to look at are X Ambassadors (whose meteoric rise to fame is in no small part due to their lucky placement in a Jeep commercial) and their show tonight at the San Diego County Fair; and Toots & the Maytals, who've long been considered the king of Jamaican dance hall, playing at the Observatory. Lots of good stuff to inch us closer to a scorcher of a weekend.
