Motopony rides on at Casbah on Monday

Give Motopony a second chance at Casbah on Monday.

Monday night is looking pretty solid with musical options to satisfy any whim. Texas post-hardcore outfit Signalman get brutal at Soda Bar, while hip-hop rules the night with Lupe Fiasco at Observatory North Park. Johnnyswim are a folk/blues duo formed in Nashville that plan to wow you at Belly Up, while perhaps the most buzzed about locals, Le Chateau, perform at the Office. My pick, however, is Motopony at Casbah. A few years ago, these guys were poised to be the next big thing, but something went wrong along the way. I'll admit, I didn't have the best first impression when they took an excessive amount of time to soundcheck, but nearly four years later, I'm willing to give them another shot.

    Monday, June 15:

    • Motopony, Gunakadeit, Bruin @ Casbah
    • Le Chateau, Kingdom of Lights, DJ Jeremiah BZ, DJ Mike Delgado @ The Office
    • Johnnyswim, Britten Newbill @ Belly Up
    • Lupe Fiasco, Charles Hamilton @ Observatory North Park
    • Signalman, Ash Williams, Bainbridge, One I Red @ Soda Bar
