    NEWSLETTERS

Hopefully with Friday night's full moon, Mercury in retrograde, and Friday the 13th trifecta, all the crazy was released and you can have a normal, beautiful day in San Diego. What better way to spend it than at Oyster Fest? I have to admit, when this thing kicked off a few years ago, I didn't think it would survive, yet here we are just a couple years later and Matt & Kim are the headliners with He's My Brother, She's My Sister as direct support, and I have to say they have a pretty fine festival. Unfortunately, this is a 21-plus event, despite what some of the event pages say, but our plan is to bike around the perimeter to catch some of the tunes. Meanwhile, the Belly Up hosts Guided By Voices, Fu Manchu return to Casbah, and one of my local favorites, Midnight Pine, celebrate a CD release at the Hideout.
