It's a little bit funny, this position I'm in. Sometimes as a blogger, it's my responsibility to create hype where there is none; other times, I just get to roll on hype and hope all of those people tweeting and Facebooking know what they're talking about. In this case, Juan Cirerol is coming to the Casbah. What I can tell you is that he was an official performer at SxSW, which is a pretty elite crowd to roll with already, and he's described as a cross of Norteno and punk, and also has the distinction of being named "the Mexican Johnny Cash." I might be right or I might be wrong, but aren't you even just a little bit more curious now? What else have you got this Sunday night?
