Sounds Like San Diego: June 1

Latin Grammy award-winning power trio Diamante Electrico hit Casbah Wednesday

I was shocked to find out that some students in the county are already out for summer break! I mean, there's Memorial Day, but some of us have to adult around here, and I'm just not ready to kick into overdrive. Then again, we celebrate the music scene year round, so we should just enjoy that it's a Wednesday hump day with some amazing music choices. At Belly Up, Local H returns to town with their "As Good As Dead" tour, and Philly indie rockers Modern Baseball play at House of Blues. A$AP Ferg is gonna throw down at the Observatory, and Canadian metal band Voivod is at Brick by Brick. The show to be really excited about, however, is Diamante Electrico at Casbah. This Colombian power trio has won a Latin Grammy for best rock band, which makes it the perfect show to check out no matter which team you're rooting for at today's US vs. Mexico soccer game.
