Sounds Like San Diego: July 7

San Diego lays claim to many talented musicians. Perhaps they weren't all born here, but our city served as a launching pad for many careers, including Jason Mraz's and Jewel's. It is quite a unique story, however, with Anya Marina, who had a career in radio and was an on-air personality at FM 94/9 before finding her footing in the music scene. Before anyone really knew it, Anya's music was grabbing the attention of music supervisors and she ended up with a highly coveted spot on a Twilight soundtrack. Anya left San Diego to pursue her music career in Los Angeles and now lives in Portland, but tonight she returns "home" to perform at the Casbah. Expect to see radio station folk drizzled among the crowd.
