You'd expect the day after a holiday to be a little more dead than usual, but not so in San Diego. Tonight, the Indigo Girls return to Humphreys on the heels of their lates release, Six String Society joins some of the best singer/songwriters tonight at the Belly Up, and the Picturebooks rock Soda Bar. The highlight for many tonight, however, is Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 performing at the Casbah. These are warm-up shows for a larger tour, and I can't think of a time he ever performed at such an intimate level because Sum 41 was one of the biggest acts on the pop-punk circuit. Don't miss this one if you were a skate kid in the '90s or early 2000s, because this probably won't happen again.
