I don't know about you, but having a national holiday in the middle of the week has thrown off my rhythm a bit. I mean that in the best way possible though, because it was a nice little change-up that made it really feel like summer is upon us. Thursday, celebrate that sense with plenty of live music options to keep you satiated. It is also a great chance to experience newer local bands as there isn't much in the way of touring bands. Down at the Casbah, the Makeup Sex will lure concertgoers who either didn't get their fill on Wednesday or are already in full weekend party mode. The Griffin brings Revulab, a band that follows the path of our Tijuana favorites, Nortec Collective. Soda Bar has Andy Clockwise, Belly Up has the Tilt and County Fair Battle of the Band winnersTrouble In The Wind and Skyline Union take over the Tin Can. Take your pick at any of these low-cover shows and you just might discover something new.
Thursday, July 5:
The Makeup Sex, Los Loaded Saints, Focke Wolves, Grampa Drew @ Casbah
Revulab, Colourvision, Saul Q @ The Griffin
Andy Clockwise, Schitzophonics, guest @ Soda Bar
The Tilt, Ninja Love, Trouble In The Wind @ Belly Up
