The indie kids are going nuts for the return of Joanna Newsom to San Diego.

The indie musician brings a unique singer/songwritier perspective to all of her music, all the while bringing her own twist by playing the harp, a very rare instrument outside of the orchestra. The show recently sold out, so if you're not one of the lucky ticketholders for this show or the Hot Snakes supershow with Obits and the Nightmarchers (also sold out), check out local Kenseth Thibideau, who is having his CD release party at Tin Can. Make sure to be there in time for Cry for Us Black Swans, the latest project of demasiado's Jon Piotrowski. The tracks available online are incredible, but his live performance will leave spectators in awe of his amazing vocal range.
