The weekend is just around the corner, but Thursday is the new Friday, right? The Wailers kick off the first of three sold-out nights at the Belly Up, and the Music Box gets a taste of New Orleans with Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Personally, I'm going to have to choose between Soda Bar and Casbah. At Soda Bar, LA's Nite Jewel returns on the heels of her latest release, "Liquid Cool," while Magic Giant celebrate a recent signing to Washington Square. Their Friday night show at the Troubadour is sold out, and with all the LA buzz they're receiving, and an upcoming tour with Beats Antique and Eric Hutchinson, we might not see them in small venues for long.
