On Sunday, we follow in the path of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and spend a day to honor pizza. A whole day to thank our lucky stars that Luigi's brought great sliced pizza to our 'hoods, for being open late, and when they're not, knowing you could find their extra slices at your favorite dive. Today is Luigipalooza at the Golden Hill location of Luigi's, with live music and cheap slices all day long. Of course, many of our favorite bands are employed by the spot, so we can't blame them for setting ambiguous band order, but you should just hang out as long as you can and catch Teenage Burritos, Grand Tarantula and Grammatical B, to name just a few. Later in the night, catch Municipal Waste at the Casbah or the Tontons at Soda Bar to make your night complete.

Sunday, July 27:

  • Luigipalooza 10 Year Anniversary of Luigi's, featuring Teenage Burritos, Shark Blood, Death Eyes, Grand Tarantula, Grammatical B, Viv Vates, Clean Room, Mucho Macho @ Luigi's Golden Hill (all other locations closed Sunday, no to-go orders or deliveries, bands not necessarily listed in order of appearance)
