    Jim Grant

It is a great Thursday night here in San Diego, and since we already highlighted the great lineup at the Casbah, I'll tell you that there are other great shows all over town.

After selling out two shows a few months back at the Casbah, Face To Face perform an acoustic set at the Belly Up. Sheryl Crow is at Humphreys and quite wise to have Honeyhoney as an opener.

The band I'd really like to highlight is Reel Big Fish. The '90s ska-punk band always put on a great show but also deserve some extra-special recognition. Reel Big Fish performed in Denver, Colo. the night of the shooting in Aurora and, when they caught wind of what happened just a short distance from where they had played, the band donated all of the proceeds from their show to the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance. Not only that, but their booking agency, the Agency Group, donated as well.

For their generosity, I'd say go skank to your heart's content tonight at the House of Blues.
