Maynard James Keenan just might be an overlooked genius of our time. Between the hard rock edge of Tool, the more melodic music of A Perfect Circle and the in-your-face rock parody of Puscifer, the guy seems to have navigated the music industry in a way that most cannot. Often elusive and hiding in costumes or behind screens with just projections of his shadow, you're forced to focus on the music. I've seen all three bands live and have to say that A Perfect Circle wins for me and tonight you can catch them live at the Open Air Theatre at SDSU.
