Sounds Like San Diego: July 21

Everyone has musical moments they never forget. Sometimes it's a concert, sometimes it's a song attached to a relationship, and sometimes there's music that's so good that you ask out loud, "Who is this?" and you never forget where you were when you heard it. For Postal Service, I remember being in my friend Jason's apartment. He was playing a mix CD he made, a group of us were hanging out and drinking wine. "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" came on and I perked up. I had to know everything about it: the artist, the album, everything. And so like so many people, I was hooked. Then I almost cried when I found out they had just played at the Casbah a couple weeks before. Now, on the 10-year anniversary of Give Up, I finally get to see the band live. They'll be at the Open AIr Theatre with Big Freedia and Baths. I'm not missing them again.
