The pop-culture junkies have decended upon us. Everywhere you look in downtown, there's a fervor that is palpable. Comic-con brings it's own musical events for badgeholders to enjoy. Dillon Francis and New Politics perform at Petco Park. The Casbah gets in on the fun with a show headlined by Neil Hamburger. In annual Comic-Con tradition, the Aquabats return to the House of Blues. Undoubtedly, you can still catch San Diego's finest bands working the circuit: Todd Day Wait's Pigpen performs at Tin Can; the Soul Fires are sure to burn up Bar Pink; and our buddies Grand Tarantula play their first show in awhile at Soda Bar. Lots to see and hear, so take a deep breath and let the light of the scene shine within.
