It's San Diego's big week featuring Comic-Con, and nothing beats the music scene once all the action figures are purchased and the swag is claimed. Afterward, head over to the Griffin to catch three great acts, two of which emerged from the ashes of the shoegaze band Film School: vocalist Lorelei now fronts a local act, Bulletins, and guitarist Dave now shreds in Nightmare Air. Happy Hollows headline; they've been playing together long enough now that any good indie-rock fan should be familiar by now. All around, this is a solid lineup and worth the cab fare to Morena Boulevard.
