Musicians Rome Ramirez (left) and Michael 'Cheez' Brown of Sublime with Rome perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sept. 24, 2011, in Las Vegas.

I know it's only Thursday, but can we just call it the weekend already? I mean, with Opening Day at the the races, TNT back in action and tons of great shows, who really needs to wait until Friday? Your night in music sees the Drowning Men (read our interview here) headlining the Belly Up, and rockeros Enanitos Verdes at the House of Blues. It's a bro-down hoedown at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, where Sublime With Rome (read out interview here) headline a bill shared by Rebelution, Pepper and Mickey Avalon. Meanwhile, the Casbah has a local lineup, with Soft Lions celebrating their EP release, and Chicano Batman come back to town with a set at Thursday Night Thing. Last but certainly not least, over at Soda Bar, there's Dick Diver, who should get an award for best music/worst name. They're an indie pop band from Melbourne, and they're absolutely fantastic and you'll regret missing the show if you skip out. So don't.
