Family Of the Year trade off boy and girl vocals to create layered harmonies that have made them one of L.A.'s bands on the rise. They have performed in San Diego a handful of times, but after the recent release of their second full-length, Loma Vista, they are kicking off a tour that will take them across the U.S. and Canada. I've had the good fortune of seeing them live at the Belly Up a couple years ago and they're definitely worth your time. Other options tonight include Anti-Monday League at the Casbah with my friends in Western Scene, Wyatt over at the Tin Can, and Carl Durant at the Ruby Room.
