A little over a year ago, I opened my mail to find a CD from a band called My Jerusalem. I get a lot of music and sometimes it takes me a while to get around to listening to everything that comes across my desk, yet something compelled me to listen to Gone For Good. I was instantly enamored, so when the band performed at the Tin Can I wanted to personally call and email everyone I knew to tell them they were missing an amazing band as it was happening. The crowd was underwhelming for that show, but the Austin, Texas band fronted by Jeff Klein took it in stride.
My Jerusalem have a rotating cast of characters depending on who can take time off and afford the expense of touring. A few months after that show, I was booking my showcase for the San Diego Music Thing and had the band all locked in to return to San Diego until they made the decision that a trip from Austin without a full tour just wasn't feasible. Now they're back and they're at the Soda Bar and I implore you to make every effort to see their show.
