Not to toot our own horn, but last night's SoundDiego Live party was pretty darn amazing, thanks to all the beautiful people who came out to enjoy it. We'll do it again next month, but in the meantime you've got a three-day weekend chockful of great music. Down at the Casbah, A Scribe Amidst the Lions celebrates a CD release with a stellar lineup of local bands, while Astra Kelly does the same over at the Soda Bar. At the historic Lafayette Hotel, the clamshell stage of the Mississippi Room is resurrected for a weekly concert series kicking off with Geezer, Rio Peligroso and Gregory Page, and if you wanna shake your booty, there are great DJs all over town.  Holiday weekends rule, so get out, have fun, and be safe.
