Sounds Like San Diego: Jan. 8

The reunion shows are going to continue all month, as the Casbah continues its 25-year anniversary celebrations. Wednesday's featured headliner, No Knife, was one of those bands that seemed so elusive to me, like I was too young when they were in their prime, and then as an adult I seemed to always just miss their performances, as if I needed to know the secret handshake or something. No Knife will perform two nights, but Thursday's show is already sold out, so if you want to see the band, you'll have to score one of the few tickets left for this evening. And the Casbah isn't the only venue selling out these days: Snoop Dogg ... er, Snoop Lion has two sold-out shows slated for Wednesday at the Belly Up -- maybe you can see him Thursday at Fluxx if you're ticket-less.

Wednesday, Jan. 8:

  • No Knife, SISU, Modern Rifles @ Casbah
  • Snoop Lion (Snoop Dog), Vince Staples @ Belly Up (7:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m.; both shows are sold out)
