Jason Webley's one man show packs enough punch for a whole band.
If you missed the Dresden Dolls last week, or if you arrived late, you missed the magic of Jason Webley. The solo artist commanded the stage with his accordion and stomping platform, and every song he played captivated the audience. He returns tonight at the tiny Park Gallery and should definitely blow you away if you allow yourself to be taken away. Adam and Eves will set the stage for Webley.
After that show, head down to the Casbah for a solid local lineup or get some late-night bites over at West Coast Tavern as you enjoy the tunes from Jesse LaMonaca. Yes, I keep talking about his shows and am responsible for repeatedly booking him, but it is only because he is so compelling that I'm trying to spread the gospel. I'm reminded of days at Inner Change seeing an unknown songstress named Jewel or being at Java Joe's and watching an unknown named Jason Mraz. Jesse is that good and you'll be able to say you saw him when...and the show is free.
