Sounds Like San Diego: January 3

Back in the early 1990's, music was changing. A huge undergroung scene was developing that brought back West Coast swing and rock & roll to traditionally punk and rock venues, and the Casbah was an epicentre of twenty- and thirtysomethings caught up in all of it. The Casbah had opened, eventually moving to its current location. where bands like the Paladins and Big Sandy brought their throwback crowds, who were interested in the swing and rockabilly and rock & roll, all wrapped in a modern twist on the genres. On Friday, you'll want to bust out your jean jackets and tres flores. roll up your 501s, or pull out your red lipstick and polka-dot dresses as the Casbah returns to those days. This is going to be a great flashback, as will many of the nights during the Casbah's 25-year anniversary month, nights to relive the old days, or see it fresh for the first time.
