There's a plethora of great music to be had this Thursday night. Passafire and Pacific Dub bring their Ballyhoo! tour to the all-ages Irenic in North Park, while Mayer Hawthorne brings Detroit soul to the House of Blues. Little Dove return to San Diego with a performance at Bar Pink, and the Wood Brothers will certainly be performing to a full house at the Belly Up. I'm a big fan of Hands, who will be opening for Wild Cub at UCSD, and the Casbah is hosting the Burning of Rome (with openers the Marsupials, featuring SoundDiego TV videographer David Robles on guitar). Since Friday's Rocket From the Crypt show is sold out, it's the last hurrah for the Casbah anniversary month in a way, and the final chance to grab one of those Shepard Fairey T-shirts. It's also pretty rare for the Long and Short of It to play a show, so this one is going to be pretty special.
