Sounds Like San Diego: January 18

Consider the Source bring "Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion" to the Casbah Wednesday

I cannot pretend to be aware of every band playing in San Diego at all times, but the diversity of shows we get to see on any given night is always pretty impressive. For example, tonight at the Casbah, you can catch New York instrumental trio Consider the Source, who play "Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion," which, if you do a quick YouTube search, sounds pretty damn awesome and like you have a really fun night in store. Meanwhile, things were looking iffy on tonight's Tower of Power show after two members were hit by a train last week in Oakland, but it appears the tour carries on tonight at Belly Up. Lastly, describing a band as "SoCal punk" can really carry a lot of different meaning to a lot of people, but Wanted Noise at Soda Bar is doing it right and take me back to my younger days of hanging out with friends, watching skate videos, then rummaging record stores to find all the bands that were played in those videos. Seems to me you can't go wrong with any of your choices tonight.
