As in the photo, The Album Leaf make hazy dreamlike aural sounds that weave audiences to another plane.

Though The Album Leaf's Jimmy Lavalle moved out of San Diego, he'll always be a hometown hero and is loyal to a scene that he is so much a part of. The band has switched lineups and iterations over the years -- everything from solo artist to bulging band -- so I'm not sure what version we'll experience tonight. Considering the band has no problem selling out venues much larger than the Casbah, tonight's ticketholders will certainly get an impressive show.
