Sounds Like San Diego: Jan. 18

As the Casbah has been celebrating 25 years of music, many San Diego bands have reunited and inspired many old fans while also inspiring new ones. Some of those newer fans are students at the School of Rock, down near the Valley View Casino Center. Under the guidance of Tyler Ward, the kids have learned songs from older bands like Rocket From the Crypt, as well as current bands like Midnight Pine and Lord Howler. The kids are sure to impress with their skills and talent. There will be two full sets with songs by more than 20 San Diego bands. This is going to be an epic show at the Irenic in North Park and definitely worth catching. Plus, it's early enough that you can probably still catch Maria Taylor over at Soda Bar or grab a drink for Neon Beat at Bar Pink.
