Wednesday was supposed to be an epic night at the Casbah. Switchfoot, a band known for selling out sheds and arenas of all sizes, was going to play the relatively small Middletown venue. However, after sustaining a gnarly fin gash to the face requiring stitches, singer Jon Foreman is unable to perform. The show has been postponed until Feb. 3 for ticketholders, but the rest of the band will still be down from 8-10 p.m. to meet fans with tickets, and will distribute CDs and DVDs included in the purchase price of tickets, and just hang out with fans. If you're looking for live music. though, you'll find it with the legendary Martha Davis & the Motels at the Belly Up, dance up a storm with Stevie & the Hi Stax at Bar Pink, or head to Soda Bar for Diamond Lakes and some great local support.
