Tom Chapin of Keane performs onstage at O2 Academy on May 23, 2012, in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.
It has been a while since I've been this excited about seeing a show at House of Blues. Nothing against the venue, and all credit due to all of the great artists I've seen there over time, but I say that because I'm just through the roof with excitement about the return of Keane. The band climbed the charts several years ago with its debut album, Hopes And Fears, in 2004. Keane toured and were fit to be on top of the music game, but after their follow-up record, subsequent tours were canceled for rehab reasons and other related issues. Though they continued to release records, the band hasn't returned to San Diego in years, so Sunday is just a really exciting night for Keane fans. The band will be joined by newcomers Youngblood Hawke.
