I have been looking forward to this weekend all week. When I first heard that What Made Milwaukee Famous was coming to town, I had to do a double take. Singer Michael Kingkaid has been to San Diego once or twice in the last few years, but it has been so long since the band has toured through town that I didn't think they were still together. The good news is that they are, and it appears the tour was booked so last-minute that the show will actually be an early one, with doors at 6 p.m. at the Soda Bar. That means you can still find time to catch a later show, whether that's Hargo at the Casbah, One I Red at the Void, or just make it a double header and stay for the Seapony show later at Soda Bar. There are great choices all over town, so live a little and see some live music.
Friday, Feb. 8:
What Made Milwaukee Famous, Little Fowl @ Soda Bar (doors at 6 p.m., show at 6:30 p.m.)
Seapony @ M-Theory In Store (All Ages, Free, 6 p.m.)
