The Kooks Leap into San Diego

Happy Leap Day, San Diego! Hopefully you took a leap and pre-purchased concert tickets, because it appears that tonight's hot shows with the Kooks at House of Blues and !!! (pronounced "chk-chk-chk") at the Casbah are both sold out. The Kooks just released Junk Of The Heart, proving that they still have the same spunk they're known for, and will be joining Foster the People's tour later this summer. As for !!! over at the Casbah, the band hit the festival circuit pretty hard last year, so tonight's show will be a rare treat as they test out new yet-to-be-released material. If you don't have tonight's golden tickets, fret not, because Cloud Nothings at Soda Bar and Snakesuit at the Whistle Stop are both solid alternatives.
