I get to write about shows every day, and I frequently get excited about some of them, but whenever Rocky Votolato comes back to town, I do mental backflips. I've been a fan for several years now, and he's the first musician I really felt like I discovered in the early days of music blogs who resonated with me. Several records later, Rocky still has such a beautiful talent of carving stories with his words, and wearing his life and heart on his sleeve. The Seattle-based musician is supported by songstress Laura Gibson as well as Jesse LaMonaca, who will be playing a stripped-set with Brandon Conway of LaMonaca's band, the Dime Novels.
